Coffy Town

Districts of Coffy Town

Every district has a founder, a coinciding book, and a game on its streets

District 1 — Coffy Town Garden District

Founder: Dawn of Time

The origin district of Coffy Town — where the first seeds, first stories, and first citizens took root.

Dawn of Time at the Coffy Town Garden gate beneath the wooden Coffy Town Garden sign — teal lanterns, ivy, and a glass greenhouse glowing under a full moon.
  • The Garden District is the spiritual and ancestral heart of Coffy Town. Its soil carries story and its vines carry memory.
  • Elderberry Book Club: The Elderberries gather here on third Saturdays.
  • Dawn of Time planted the first seeds of Coffy Town's narrative universe at the Ancient Gate.
  • Dawn of Time found The Writer by the railroad tracks, abandoned there as a child. The Writer drew the pictures and wrote the stories that became Coffy Town.
  • Healing and heritage intertwine here: every plant, even the ones dismissed as weeds, is medicine and mirror.

Stewards

  • Dawn of Time — founder of the district
  • Lady — the district's primary storyteller
  • The Elderberries (Seng, Sarah, Rose, and Dawn) — cultural stewards
  • Voices of Foster Care interns — the next hands in the soil

First coinciding book: Storytime with Lady — Elderberries in the Vine

by Jessica Holter

The first coinciding book of Coffy Town — the Garden District's own canon, where the Elderberries teach the Standings, the water, and the weeds.

District game: Gardenplots

A growing-survival game — keep your garden alive

Every citizen gets a landplot in the Garden District. Buy and plant seeds, water the beds, survive drought, blight, pests, and theft, craft teas and tonics at the bench, and earn Coffy Coins for everything you keep alive.

Play Gardenplots

District 2 — Creative Commons District

The civic and creative commons of Coffy Town — the Community Center at its center, the Coffy Town Press Complex printing at its west end, the Coffy Pop Art bridge on one side, and the Garden Center glowing at its back edge.

Night view of the Creative Commons District: the blue, black, and white Coffy Town Press Complex and the Bed & Breakfast bearing the Creative Commons sign on the left, a small driveway leading left out of frame toward the train station, teal-lit Garden Center greenhouses, and the Coffy Pop Art storefront along Community Way.Copper and neon-teal district sign reading The Digital Commons District, Coffy Town, est. 2042.
  • The Creative Commons District is where Coffy Town keeps its shared work — the room a citizen walks into with a problem and walks out of with three neighbors already on it.
  • The Coffy Town Community Center is the focal point of the district. Inside it: the Voices of Foster Care office, where Jaime James works.
  • The Coffy Town Press Complex is the big blue, black, and white building at the far left end of the district. It holds the corner where Community Way crosses Transport Junction. The other visible left-side building, bearing the Creative Commons sign, is the Bed & Breakfast, not the Press Complex.
  • Everything Coffy Town puts in front of its people comes off that press: the in-world newspaper, the town newsletter, books, and flyers, plus the advertisement and social media that carries the word out.
  • A bridge runs from the Community Center to the Coffy Pop Art Shop, so civic business and creative work share one roof-line.
  • The teal lights at the far edge of the district belong to the Garden Center — District 1 and District 2 meet at that light.
  • The district's main street is Community Way, running east to west and laid like a circuit board: everything made here is meant to be copied, shared, and carried out of the district. Transport Junction is the street running south to north beside it — the Coffy Bus Station stands on that corner.
  • The Bed & Breakfast is where David tried to find a room. Its owner is unconfirmed: probably one of the Elderberries, but not Dawn or Seng. Do not name an owner as a verified fact.
  • The little driveway heading left out of frame leads to the train station. The train runs around Coffy Town, and its closest approach to the population is right here in the Creative Commons District; it does not run closer to the population elsewhere.

Landmarks

  • Coffy Town Community CenterFocal point

The focal point of the district — town hall, mutual aid, Community Reels, and the Voices of Foster Care office where Jaime James works.

  • Coffy Pop Art ShopOpen

On Community Way, reached by the bridge from the Community Center — prints, merch, and small-batch Coffy Pop Art under the copper Fashion & Fundraising sign.

  • Garden Center greenhousesAdjacent

The teal-lit structures at the back of the view belong to the Garden Center in District 1.

  • Coffy Bus transportation yardAdjacent

Immediately to the right of this view, just out of frame — the town's bus transportation system, standing on Transport Junction. The train station is reached separately by the little driveway heading left out of frame.

  • Coffy Town Press ComplexOpen

The big blue, black, and white building at the west end of the district — prints the town's newspaper, newsletter, books, and flyers, and runs its advertisement and social media. The Creative Commons sign belongs to the neighboring Bed & Breakfast.

  • Bed & BreakfastOpen

The other visible building on the left, bearing the Creative Commons sign — where David tried to find a room. Ownership is unconfirmed; probably an Elderberry other than Dawn or Seng.

  • Coffy Town Train StationAdjacent

Reached by the little driveway heading left out of frame. The train circles Coffy Town; this Creative Commons District approach is the closest it comes to the population.

District 3 — Theater District

Surrender Boulevard after dark — Club Surrender's marquee, Lady's Presents, The Electric Church, and the Coffy Town Radio Station one block over on Mass Comm Street.

Surrender Boulevard at night — a woman in a feathered hat walks the wet circuit-lit street toward Club Surrender's glowing marquee and gold sunburst archway.
  • The Theater District runs along Surrender Boulevard. Nothing here opens before dusk and nothing here closes on time.
  • Club Surrender holds 301 Surrender Boulevard — the confession room of Coffy Town, where the Emcee works the crowd and the truth gets said out loud.
  • Lady's Presents sits at 303 Surrender Boulevard — Jackie's gift to Lady: clothing, lotions, and potions up front, and a warehouse stage in back.
  • The Electric Church stands next door at 305–307 Surrender Boulevard. Sarah Sarah says she is closing on it with a CoffyState agent.
  • Consequence Street Alley runs behind Surrender Boulevard and dead-ends at Community Way, where the Garden Center park closes it off.
  • The Coffy Town Radio Station broadcasts from 201 Mass Comm Street, across the alley — what happens on Surrender Boulevard is on the air before the crowd reaches the sidewalk.

District 4 — Game Valley

Founder: CTC — Coffy Town Collective

The official home of Coffy Town games — a neon-lit valley of puzzles, mazes, cultural challenges, date-night play, relics, and Coffy Coin prizes.

  • Game Valley sits below the ridge where the town's neon spills over — every sign down here is a scoreboard.
  • Citizens come to the valley to play for keeps: Black Stone Maze, Soul Scramble, the Collage Puzzle, the Cannon Game, Black Date Night, relics, and challenges that pay in Coffy Coins.
  • The Black Stone Maze is the valley's first property and its loudest door — Level 1 matching, Level 2 lock-and-key, and a prize wall that pays out to your wallet.
  • The valley was founded by the CTC — the Coffy Town Collective. When the building across from Club Surrender was sold, the community raised black stone walls to seal the underground passage, found ancient tunnels beneath the district, and kept sealing passage after passage until they came up out of the ground with a Logic Park sitting on top of Coffy Town's secrets.
  • Every Coffy Town game has a place in District 4. Gardenplots remains the Garden District's coinciding growing game, while the Game Valley arcade gathers the town's dedicated puzzle and play destinations.

HIP Way leading toward the neon HIP IP Tower, with Chi City Cafe, Coffy Books, Ice Cold Cuts, and Coffy Town Roasters along the street.
  • HIP Way is the Tower District's main approach, running directly toward the HIP IP Tower.
  • Chi City Cafe, Coffy Books, Ice Cold Cuts, and Coffy Town Roasters line the street.
